The NHL’s first full week of action is in the books, and Tuesday night brings nine games to the forefront. We will focus on four of those contests. Here are our best picks from NHL betting sites in America.

Florida Panthers (2-2-0) at Columbus Blue Jackets (1-1-0)

Time 7:08 p.m. ET
Money Line/Spread Odds
Florida -165 / -1.5 (+150)
Columbus +140 / +1.5 (-185)
Total 6.5 (over +100 / under -120)

Pick: Columbus (money line and puck line)

It will be an emotional night in Columbus as the Blue Jackets will play their first home game where they will honor the life of former player Johnny Gaudreau, who tragically passed away in August.

The Blue Jackets started their 2024-25 campaign with two strong road performances, a 3-2 loss in the season opener against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday, Oct. 10, and a 6-4 triumph against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Kent Johnson and Zach Werenski lead the team with two goals apiece under new head coach Dean Evason.

The Panthers reached the .500 mark on Monday, Oct. 14 with their second win against the Boston Bruins, 4-3. Sam Reinhart and Anton Lundell each scored two goals, and goalie Sergei Bobrovsky recorded 25 saves in the win.

This will be an emotional home opener for Columbus, where they will thrive off the crowd and the energy in Nationwide Arena. Florida comes into Ohio after playing Monday afternoon, while Columbus has had off since Saturday. Will the Blue Jackets win outright? Possibly. Am I taking the puck line? Definitely.

Player Prop: Take Johnson (COL) over 0.5 points (+130).

Minnesota Wild (1-0-2) at St. Louis Blues (2-1-0)

Time 7:38 p.m. ET
Money Line/Spread Odds
Minnesota -120 / -1.5 (+195)
St. Louis +100 / +1.5 (-250)
Total 6 (over -105 / under -115)

Pick: St. Louis (money line)

The St. Louis Blues return home for their home opener against fellow Central Division rival the Minnesota Wild to start a four-game homestand. The Blues took two of their first three games out West but lost a 4-3 decision to the Vegas Golden Knights on Friday, Oct. 11.

Pavel Buchnevich had two goals with an assist in the loss.

Minnesota is coming off a 2-1 overtime loss at the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday, Oct. 13. Jake Middleton scored the Wild’s lone goal, and Filip Gustavsson posted 33 saves in the loss.

St. Louis in their first game at home will get the job done, so double your money on the money line. Player Prop: Take Jordan Kyrou (STL) for over 0.5 points (-135).

Seattle Kraken (1-2-0) at Nashville Predators (0-2-0)

Time 8:08 p.m. ET
Money Line/Spread Odds
Nashville -175 / -1.5 (+135)
Seattle +145 / +1.5 (-160)
Total 6 (over -105 / under -115)

Pick: Nashville (money line)

The Nashville Predators will have their second shot at home to win their first game of the season when they host the Seattle Kraken to start a four-game homestand.

Nashville is coming off a 3-0 road loss at the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, Oct. 12 as Predators forward Filip Forsberg played in his 700th career game.

Seattle is coming off a 2-0 road loss to the Dallas Stars on Sunday, Oct. 13, and will conclude a three-game road trip against Central Division foes on Tuesday. Jordan Eberle leads the team in goals scored with two.

Look for Nashville to feed off the home crowd and earn their first win of the season. Player Prop: Eberle (SEA) will go over 0.5 points (+115).

Philadelphia Flyers (1-1-0) at Edmonton Oilers (0-3-0)

Time 10:08 p.m. ET
Money Line/Spread Odds
Edmonton -225 / -1.5 (+115)
Philadelphia +180 / +1.5 (-100)
Total 6.5 (over -105 / under -115)

Pick: Edmonton (puck line)

The Philadelphia Flyers continue their four-game Western swing at the slumping Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday. Edmonton, one of the preseason favorites to win the Stanley Cup, is surprisingly winless on the season after a 4-1 home loss to the Calgary Flames on Sunday, Oct. 13.

Connor McDavid is in search of his first goal of the season, and the Oilers have been outscored 15-3 in their first three home games.

The Flyers are coming off a 6-3 road loss to Calgary on Saturday, Oct. 12, as Travis Konecny scored two goals, and goalie Ivan Fedotov stopped 27 shots in his first start of the season. Philadelphia is 2-for-8 on the power play in their first two games of the season.

Look for the Oilers to come out on all cylinders to satisfy their offensive woes and the worries of Edmonton fans. Player Prop: Matvei Michkov (PHI) will go over 0.5 points (+100).
